Posted by Steve Glissman

There are many great things about working for TBL Networks (e.g. TBL’s very liberal cocoa policy). In addition, as 2010 Collaboration Partner of the Year for Cisco’s East Area, I receive the opportunity to use and experience cutting-edge technology as it is…

Tyrod Taylor’s mom falls asleep during the Orange Bowl. But he’s played in so many Orange Bowls, can you blame her?

grammyos:

Like many great stories, this one began a long, long time ago. However, this story does not take place in outer space or a magical land, but a kitchen in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This is where Margaret Landis Schmell Overholt, better known to her grandchildren as Grammy O, showed her family how…

Randy Moss returns to the Vikings

One of the problems with this trade is that Favre can’t throw the deep ball anymore.  But then again, Moss doesn’t like to run routes, so it might work out.

Bonus - My favorite, all-time Brett Favre play.

Retort to Malcom Gladwell

An interesting reply to Gladwell’s article that social media will not affect future social change.

How to Reduce Government - Libertarian Style

From Reason.com.  Many interesting ideas, but I have no doubt that either party has the willpower to implement any of these suggestions.

Who’s Your Daddy

Great blog post from my friend (and personal barber) Rob Dearmon

Song of the Day

The best concert that I have ever attended was a George Clinton P-Funk All Stars show in Blacksburg, back in 19… uh.. when I was in college.  There was a rumor that Bootsy Collins was going to make an appearance, but it did not come to fruition.

I am pretty sure that they employed a bench like a basketball team.  After a while, the bass player would need a break, and he would be replaced by a back up.  The show was pretty much a three hour jam.

This song appeared on my iPod this morning and grooved its way to my Song of the Day.

Bloggers gonna blog. His next move, I suspect, is to establish his own hub on the web.

Howard Kurtz Leaves the Washington Post

With the Internet making newspapers obsolete, I am waiting for the day when a major paper finally goes under.   While Kurtz will not finish off the Post, I wonder if there will be a day when a defection marks the beginning of the end.

The Man Who Created The Joker

Cool article about Jerry Robinson, who created The Joker back in 1940.

New Superman Movie

Continuing with nerd news, here are 20 suggestions on how to not screw up the new Superman movie.  While rumor that General Zod will be the bad guy is disappointing due to its lack of creativity, it gives me an excuse to post this link.

Song of the Day

Haircut 100 is not my favorite band name with the word “Haircut” in it.  That honor would go to former Faith No More singer Chuck Mosley’s band Haircuts That Kill.

Regardless, this is a catchy song that begets two questions “What is love plus one?” and “Why is the drummer wearing a sweater on a volcanic island?”
